From April 14th, 2020, due to national lockdown now being set to continue beyond the initial 3 week period, BEVA and the RCVS have taken the very sensible stance that vaccination and some other veterinary work should be allowed to resume if it is needed for horse welfare in the next 2 months and can be done safely.
It remains of UTMOST IMPORTANCE that our vets are able to maintain social distancing during their visit to you – please keep 6 feet away from them at all times. This is most easily achieved by tying your horse up and standing back, thus letting the vet assesses your horse. If you or any of your family members are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or are self-isolating it is essential that you TELL US IN ADVANCE, and ask a friend to attend the appointment on your behalf. If your horse’s temperament will not allow our vets to maintain social distancing then please DO NOT request a visit until after the COVID-19 crisis. Please look after our vets!

If you have a concern about your horse regarding something that would benefit from a visit in the next 2 months and you are able to maintain social distancing measures, we will hopefully now be able to attend (following a risk assessment) Please contact us to discuss in the first instance.
It is important to note, that our branch surgeries are still closed, all prescription collections are still via post, our free delivery days, or from Hook Norton.
