We operate a 24 hour, 365 day a year emergency service for our registered clients. Whatever time of day or night one of our equine vets will be happy to see you and help you and your horse. We cover our own emergencies at all times, so you will always see a Hook Norton Equine vet.
Please ring 01608 730085 and you will go straight through to our Emergency Line.
When calling the practice after 6.30 pm, you will automatically be diverted to the Emergency Answering Service. The Emergency Answering Service will take your details, which are then handed over to the dedicated equine Duty Vet, who will then contact you as quickly as possible.
It is important that the Vet has a telephone number on which you can be contacted, knows the nature of the problem and the exact location of where they need to meet you.
If you know you will be going away and leaving your horse in someone else’s care, please contact us to let us know who is authorised to call us on your behalf whilst you are away. This allows us to send a vet without any delay in the event of an emergency, as otherwise, we will need to contact you to authorise the call-out.

The Surgery is closed between 6.30 pm and 8.00 am Monday to Friday; between 12.30 pm and 8.00 am on Saturdays, all day Sunday and on Public Holidays.
