Our highly experienced team offers ambulatory and clinic-based equine lameness and poor performance assessment and investigation.
While many equine lamenesses can be quickly diagnosed and resolved ‘on yard’, more complex or subtle cases and poor performance investigations often benefit from coming into our clinic where we have a hard trot up, lunge pad and stocks, as well as all our diagnostic equipment. Additionally, as these cases can take several hours to properly work up, many clients find it convenient to leave their horses with us for the day, thereby avoiding the need (and expense!) of taking time off work.
We understand the pressures facing modern competition horses and the minute division between the top placings – our Equine Team includes vets who compete and own horses at the highest levels and have specific interests and experience across all genres of equine sport and leisure riding, including dressage, eventing, and show jumping, as well as the racing & driving community. We pride ourselves on having a truly holistic approach, working closely with farriers, physiotherapists and other complementary therapists.
We recommend start, mid, and end of season checks, particularly for upper-level athletes, to help ensure your horse performs at its optimum.
Please contact the clinic if you have any questions or would like to discuss an assessment.
If you’re worried about your horse and would like to speak to one of our vets then please call your nearest branch or send an email.
